Charlie gets dominated
Aunty Caroline invited us over for a picnic on Sunday. The puppies met Lilly who is a beautiful black labrador who is being looked after by Caroline for the weekend. They played and played and played and were momentarily distracted by the drug bust happening across the road in downtown Eagleby. Thank you for having us Caroline, a fun time was had by all.
Mia finally learns to sit
Oh its a proud day. The comment had been made that the puppies were just like Mummy and Daddy. One handsome intelligent young man and one cute doughy little girl. Mia has just learned to sit and Aunty Dee and I have celebrated with joyous cheering and chocolate. The occasion was that special that Daddy even got a $100 call to Romania about it. Well done Mia. It may have taken three weeks of persistent treat giving but she has finally got it - come to think of it - maybe she is more like Mummy than we first suspected.

This is the life
These are some more pics from our trip to the Gold Coast. The puppies had a wonderful day. The girls loved Mia and they played and played and played .... I think that Mia now prefers Charlie's rough housing to spending a day with two little girls. Charlie was quite jealous when I nursed little Caitlin. After a couple of hours of visiting, they were both exhausted. They did mention that Nanna's couch and cushions are much nicer and much softer. Perhaps we should trade one of them in for a new lounge suite - oh I couldn't - Ben would never forgive me.

Mia leaves home
I awoke this Sunday morning to a very eerie silence. Neither puppy was in the house yet all the doors were closed. I have been quite protective of little Mia since the suicide drop on her second day with us and was instantly filled with the same dread. I jumped out of bed (and for those who know me - this rarely happened). I called out for Mia and only Charlie came running. Where could she be? Against my better judgement and after having a conversation with myself about the plausibility of her being outside, I openned the back door to find my precious looking up at me waiting for a cuddle. As you can see from these pictures, my
little Mia has been coerced by her big brother to leave the confines of her safe warm home with Mummy and to brave the outside world
. There is a problem, and I am sure that Charlie had considered this prior to the "break-out" and that is that my little sweetheard cant get back in! That aside I guess I should be happy that she's growing up and feeling more independent. Just wait a second as I wipe a tear from my eye.

Handsome Hound
Look at me Daddy. I am so handsome. You cant really tell from this picture, but Charlie's coat is now a regal silver. He also has two light stripes across his shoulder blades. His tail has been left feathered - its very "now" (apparently). His paws are white again - never thought I would see the day. The girls at the vet said that he was very well behaved and did not stress too much at the sound of the clippers. I am so proud of our little boy.
